As part of World Sight Day, on 9 October 2025, we are helping grow awareness of the importance of eye health and taking care of your eyes. Since the campaign’s launch in 2021, we have helped inspire over 25 million people around the world #LoveYourEyes. For this reason, we invite children and parents to join the campaign and get an eye test.

The World Sight Day Global Challenge unites people and organisations to amplify awareness and push eye care onto the agenda of parliaments, ministries, and decision-makers worldwide.

LOOKING TOWARDS THEIR FUTURE WITH THE UMBERTO VERONESI FOUNDATION
Fondazione Umberto Veronesi was founded in 2003 by Professor Umberto Veronesi to promote scientific progress, focusing on two key areas: funding excellent scientific research and disseminating knowledge so that scientific discoveries can become a shared asset for all.
In collaboration with Polaroid Eyewear, the foundation has created a document that explains the most common vision problems – including those affecting children – and provides guidelines to help prevent them, from maintaining a healthy diet to choosing the most suitable lenses.

MEETINGS WITH FATTOREMAMMA FOR A CLEARER VISION

FattoreMamma is Italy’s leading platform for creating content with parents and for parents. Every day, it connects and actively supports a community of thousands of mothers online – which is why Polaroid Eyewear chose it as a partner for a participation-driven project.
Starting from two jointly developed surveys, we identified the most relevant topics for mothers regarding children’s vision issues. The first survey, conducted in 2023, explored families’ awareness of eye-care prevention for preschool and school-age children. The second, carried out in 2024, focused on preventing vision damage in children caused by exposure to sunlight.
This led to a project where mother influencers and experts provide clarity on issues related to eye care and prevention, creating online content accessible to everyone.
